This will be the 4th time when European kids have their own Eurovision. Latvia is one of the 20 countries which will take a part. First contest was in Dennmark, Copenhagen, and Latvia was presented by Dzintars Cica. 2nd contest was in Norway and then Latvia holded fingers cross for Martinu Talbergu and band "C-Stones Junior". Last year to Belgium city Hasselt went band "kids 4 rock" and this band definetly became on of the simpathies of audience.
It's time to choose witch song this year on the 2nd December in Romania will present Latvia in 4th kid Eurovision Song Contest. Latvian Television gives the rules to participate in the contest:
Hey hey kids and youth, who are 8-15 years old! You make songs? Perfect! It's time for us to hear them. To join Eurovision you have to do this: Definetly read the rules. We suggest to read them with teacher or parents. If song won't be right, will be disqualified. You have to make song which for now have to be on piano or a capella. The song must be recorded on CD, ask for help teacher or parents. When you have recorded song-time to fill paperwork. You can find it here Don't forget to sign it!
Buy a large envelope and write down the address:
Eirovizijas bernu konkursam
Latvijas Televizija
Zakusalas krastmala 3,
Riga LV 1509
Put the cd in the envelope and the page you had filled , close the envelope. You have two choises to bring us the song - send it or bring it to us. Every day in Television entrance hall someone will be sitting in the info desk, who will bring it further. If you want more info call 7200817 (with code +371). The result you will know in Tv show "surpu turpu" 22 April. Goodluck!

Caroline

no because of the thing which happened in the adults final for 2006, the judges didn't judge fairly so they withdrew
and maybe now they won't enter jesc either...
|
Caroline

yes 20 countries is nice, but it is slightly optimistic :S
I mean last year, the expected country participation number was high,
but before the actual contest it dropped to 16.
If it is 20 I *pray* Uk compte this year.
Jesc had a 3 year contract from 2003 - 2005,and Uk were debating whether to enter last year. :S
I wish good luck for Lativa

But you never know - there could be a sudden burst in jesf-interest!
|
Isabella
|
yeh i can imagine some more east european countries showing interest in it
hope the uk enters this year too, they should have stayed home last year but i hope they will come this year with a good entry, tom and cory were amazing and well, actually, joni wasn't too bad, but she was just not right for jesc
