Sweden: SVT declared submission deadline for 2006 Junior Eurovision, April 28

Once again the swedish selection for the Junior ESC will be held in october. The deadline for submit songs to Lilla Melodifestivalen is April 28th, this Swedish Television announce on their website today. 10 songs will be in the final. Sweden has participated in Junior ESC since the start 2003 and seems to have booked the 15th place, the same position 2003, 2004 and 2005. M+ was the latest representative in Hasselt Belgium with the song Gränslös kärlek.

Since 2003 Sweden participates in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Up to 2005 Sweden ranked 15th in 2003, 2004 and 2005 editions of the contest. In 2005 M+ represented the country with the song "Gränslös kärlek" receiving 22 points. In 2006 the contest will take place in Bucharest (Romania).

Yes the judes give wrong points. If they had not exist Ana had won in 2005 and they had got a much better position I`m sure.

I think Eurojunior 2005 was quite good Smile

but with only 8 songs, you don't get many good as compared to 14 Wink

from eurojunior 2003 I only know both songs from Sergio and Diego.. and 1 song of Blanca and Maria Jesús y Irune.. from 2004 I know all the songs, and from 2005 I only know Antonio José's..

i'm happy that alina didn't win actually, her song was good, but i thought she was arrogant, when they asked 'who is going to win?' she just said :"ME!"

I thought she was a bit arrogant too actually. She was very self confident, which can be a good thing, but not in her case.

She's been in so many other contests, I'm kinda glad Kseniya won over her as Kseniya had never done anything like a big contest like the JESC before. Same as Maria Isabel.

well tonya from eurosong for kids 2003 was even younger than maria isabel and made a pretty cool song.

antes muerta que sencilla is actually pretty simple, to first lines are mainly just words and there is a lot of repetition

i think a lot of the younger participants had very original entries like malin, cleo...

I love the repetitions!!! I love "Antes Muerta Que Sencilla" because it is my favorite song anyway. But yes small kids can make cool and very good songs!
