Venue revealedFrom ESCToday
Earlier this week Romanian broadcaster TVR revealed that the 4th Junior Eurovision Song Contest would be held on 2nd December. They have just revealed that the venue for the contest will be the Sala Polivalenta.
The Sala Polivalenta is a large sports venue, opened in 1974 that hosts sports events, festivals and occasionally music gigs. On 2nd December, Europe will focus on this venue for the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Countries around Europe will send their participant to compete for the prestigious trophy and honour of being the winner of the 4th Edition of the contest.
Previously the sports hall has played host to famous artists such Nightwish (Finland 2000 national selection), Zdob si Zdub (Moldova 2005) and Dutch DJ legend Tiësto.
The venue is 15-20 minutes away from Bucharest city centre and can easily be reached by the subway.
