After the Scandinavian pull-out from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where DR of Denmark, Norway's NRK, and SVT of Sweden decided to withdraw from the contest for various reasons, only Sweden has been participating after the commercial channel TV4 took over.
Oikotimes.com has asked the Norwegian commercial channel, TV2, which is also a member of EBU, if there have been any discussions for taking over the show after NRK withdrew in 2006. TV2's Information Superior, Marianne Rĝiseland, has told oikotimes.com that ''This is not a concept that TV2 will take over from NRK, instead we have chosen to bid on 'Idol' as our music program''.
This means that a comeback for Norway seems impossible for the forseeable future, and so far it looks like Sweden will be the only 'Nordic' country represented in the Junior Eurovision final.
Stupid if you ask me They have said ages ago they don't want to enter and with a limit of 18 it would be years away anyway even if they wanted to _________________
They got selected as one of the 10 finalists for this year but I accidentally found out that they already had a CD so Caroline emailed NRK about it and then they just kind of disappeared.
